How hard can it be?
A question that presenter Cheryl Gibbs seeks to find out in
this 26 part series. Taking inspiration from the recent Golden Globe winning
movie, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ Cheryl will discover whether she can do a better job than Slumdog’s Jamal
and convince tourists that she does in fact know what she’s talking about.
Delving into the worlds hotspots Cheryl will visit some of the
planets most incredible offerings as well as visiting the most historical and
important landmarks in the hope that can learn enough about each place in the
time given to take out a group of tourists and pull off her new role.
With the tourists rating her at the end of each Tour Guide
Cheryl must score at least 5 out of 10 if she’s to take advantage of a nights
luxury style living; however if she hasn’t done her homework and she gets rated
below 5 she’ll be sent to stay in a budget, hostel style accommodation with
little to no budget or worse – face a forfeit!
Our voice over man will add another dimension as he seeks to form a ‘private
bond’ with viewers by challenging Cheryl to work harder.
His sarcastic but humorous voice has an instant appeal as
he becomes a character in his own right.
Throughout the series Cheryl and ‘The
Voice Over Man’ try to compete for the viewer’s attention in a light hearted and
comical way and this new dynamic takes the series to a more personal level
rarely seen in travel shows.
Never before has a travel series combined travel, factual
knowledge, points of interest, interviews and entertainment as viewers embark
on a journey with Cheryl as they both seek to learn more about the world and
the countries that attract millions.
