Perfectly balancing the sporting and social elements of a holiday on the slopes each episode will be made up of time spent on and off the snow; half spent on the ski slopes with the local seasonaries with the other half exploring the mountain bars and restaurants, such as the unique Iglu Dorf mountain village.
Many resorts now have dedicated annual mountain festivals featuring big named artists and DJ’s attracting people from around the world- Roland will pay these a visit to find out what else is attracting thousands of holiday makers to ditch the sunlounger for the ski slopes…with Roland no doubt finding out what the local brew tastes like!
‘Aprés Ski’ makes a point of being in the resorts that offer the main festivals of the season to meet with the organizers and celebrity acts to get their take on living it up, high up on the mountains!
Whilst this is the perfect blend of lighthearted presenting and interviews we like to blend in the fun that happens on the mountains and will give an overall landscape of what makes a 21 st ski resort so unique.
Each episode we also feature ‘The weekly tricks and tips’ section which, from the travel aspect, will be anything from beating altitude sickness to where to stay during mountain festivals and from the sport side will feature a local demonstrating a different ski trick each week…with Roland trying to keep up with the experts and perfect his techniques sometimes with amusing results!
This unique series is a one stop shop guide to what goes on in the resorts sporting and social scene high up in the mountains. Interviews with local characters and guests will give the audience a true look into the resorts makeup and what it can offer along with an up beat feel with modern musical soundtracks to fit the dynamic structure of the show.
